Last Spring, I had a marketing event for alcohol education in Housing And Residential Life. After discussions about the project with Laurel Village staff, we ran with it.
I looked for shower tags to put a "keep It Dry" message regarding no alcohol in UTSA Housing. While working on the design, I approached three companies to receive quotes on purchasing 1,000 shower tags. I found one company with a great price, however after not hearing back from the, I contacted the second company Apple Specialty Advertising. My deadline to have the tags in hand before the students moved in on campus. Virginia and Jane did their best researching companues to make sure I was getting the right product at the best price.
We received our product before the deadline and the tags were hanging in the showers of the on campus housing before the students moved in. Plus, the feedback about the shower tags from the students and resident assistants were all positive.
The KEEP IT DRY Shower Tag received the National Award - OUTSTANDING CREATIVE PUBLICITY Award from the BACCHUS Network in November.
I really enjoyed working with Virginia and Jane at Apple Specialty Advertising. They are always so helpful in finding specific products (key chains, spiral notebooks and USB bracelets) and help make creative ideas come to life. I appreciate their "extra mile" during the shower tag project and look forward to working with them in the future.
